Tomorrow is the Big Day!

Tonight was open house and I had such a great experience meeting all of my wonderful students and their families! So needless to say my room is complete. I am so ready for tomorrow; I feel like a kid before their first day of school, too. Enjoy my room set up :)
Walk of Fame. This is where our student of the month character traits will go. This is seen when you first walk in

Right across from the Walk of Fame. The top middle pocket has post-it's in it so students can right down their bucket-filling compliments :)

Class jobs

My Focus Wall! The white paper is laminated and the vocabulary section is just a Target $1 pocket chart cut in half.

My whiteboard/ bravo board/ CHAMPS focus wall.

Schedule/ announcements/ student supply station

I love my computers this way! It fees up so much space and creates such a cute little nook. The shelving is for textbook and group work materials. Students will find their I'm Finished Folders here as we'll as their Reading Response Journals

Student created goals.

My beloved library :$
Love it!!

Student groups and book pockets are fabric textbook covers. 97 cents at Target!

Word Wall on my cabinets and the top of the cabinets is where I'll eventually display my anchor charts.

That's all folks! I am so pumped for tomorrow! It's getting ready for bed for me now. Goodnight

Bulletin Boards Are Going Up!

With pre-planning coming up next week, I wanted to get into my room to set up my bulletin boards. Lets face it, we all know everyone is going to be fighting for the bulletin paper and dye-cutter so I went in and got all of that out of the way! Here's my progress:

Math strategy wall. There are shelves to the left with manipulatives and you can't see it from here but the letters were cute on pop corn scrap paper.

Calendar, schedule, and announcement board at the front of the room. That border is from Party City. It's called party tape.

The focus wall is where I'll put each objective for the day for all subjects. I still need to hang up my subjects which were cut on the popcorn paper as well.

A close up of another bulletin board that I used the Party tap as a border with.

Team stations. This is where students will turn in work and gather assignments if they finish early. The popcorn containers are from the dollar store as well as the red baskets at the bottom.

I still have all my labels and materials to organize but at least I finished a huge chunk of work today. It'll definitely save me the headache next week!

More pictures are still to come!
